" [...] this is a charming composition, and with its old-fashioned flavour is just lovely. Although in the style of the Viennese waltz (which is normally quicker than the indicated tempo marking here), the 'delicious' in the title would imply that this piece was inspired by the sweet characteristics of baked food from Vienna, the popularity of which began in France around the mid-19th century. Play through the piece and imagine relaxing at a table in France outside a café on a tranquil afternoon nibbling on croissants or brioche ... whatever. Merveilleux! Standard is around Grade 4."
