Initial impressions matter so much. The wonderful cover and the dedication to Sylvain Lemay, the driving force behind this high-quality publisher, grace the front, and a rehearsal CD graces the back. The guitar part is lyrical, melodic and most certainly not a continuo part. The harmonies are wonderfully varied and woven beautifully together and the way in which the guitar and strings meld into one marks this as a particularly fine arrangement, more so because it has an instant appeal with audiences. The guitar part is Grade 6-7, which means that it's likely to feature in school concerts as well as out. with the general public, and it will do splendidly in both camps. If you can find some string players, buy this piece!
