Bagatelles with Fantasies

Bagatelles with Fantasies juxtaposes extracts from Beethoven’s piano Bagatelles and string quartets with contrasting fragments of newly composed music.
It was commissioned by the 2020 Changsha International Guitar Competition to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. The piece will be first performed by all the participants in the competition final - 17th December, 2020. The piece is dedicated to Xuefei Yang.
