The dream-like character of this modest little composition is carried off well with constant and gentle arpeggios, in 5/4 time, being exchanged between the various players whilst a delicate melody interweaves. There are a few moments of drama here and there and a brief passage mid-way where guitars 1 and 2 are invited to improvise using natural harmonies. Added depth is given to this work by the second guitar part having the bass tuned down to a low C, this particular low bass note not making an appearance until a dramatic, transitory tremolando section is reached where its presence adds strength to this passage. This is a pleasant and enjoyable composition and is a work which would suit any quartet of around the Intermediate standard who are seeking to add to their repertoire. Presentation is very good with full score and separate parts for each player. Once again, Les Productions d'Oz have had the indefatigable artist Corina Sierk to design the front cover.
