This duet is for advanced players and features a general style that makes reference to minimalism, African music and jazz: so it might be mistaken for being American, but it has a certain individuality which keeps it this side of the Atlantic. Guitar I has a tuning of 5th to G and 6th F, and not everything on these strings is open. The piece starts with both instruments muted as per the instructions in the preface, which are all in French. This work is certainly worth investigation by full-time duos: the parts are actually usable with no turning troubles - somebody out there is actually listening!
