Here is the second volume of the music of someone who has been called the 'last of the Irish Bards', the famous 17th century harpist, poet and singer. Turlough O'Carolan. Unlike the previous collectlon, the pieces in this collection are all titled and anyone familiar with this composer should easily recognise them. They are Mrs Power (more commonly known as Carolan's Concerto), Georges Brabazon and Sir Festus Burke. Once again, Luc Levesque has done a good job of arranging this music for four guitars and making it work from a musical viewpoint. For the quartet of intermediate ability (say around the grade 5 standard) this is an enjoyable way to make music together. Presentation is excellent with separate parts for each player.
