Quebecer and Atikamekw from the Lac St-Jean, Pascal Sasseville Quoquochi now lives in Wemotaci - a native Atikamekw community in the Haut St-Maurice area - where he teaches music and History of Quebec and Canada. He has been composing music since 1989. His first works were published in 1996. After having received a college education in guitar performance with Jacques Chandonnet, he obtained in1998 a Bachelor's degree specializing in composition with François Morel and in guitar with Marie Lesvesque. He also earned a Bachelor's degree in music education in 1999. During that period, he created more than thirty pieces in six books published by Productions d'Oz. Prelude in B minor which was released from Impression (1996) was nominated as a mandatory work for the 2001 Drummund Guitar Contest. The work L'aigle from an omnibus volume called Totems (1998) was the winner of the composition contest for the 1998 Dundee Guitar Festival Society in Scotland. He has created the music for many films for television and other media such as Les enfants de la Nuit and Désert de croix directed by Rachel-Alouki Labbé and produced by Via Le Monde Productions and Alouki Film. Recently the guitar ensemble Forestare recorded Chaman with Atma Classique record company (best instrumental album of the year 2008, l'ADISQ). Soon they will also record Racine his latest work composed for them. Also, 4 of his Totems (for solo guitar) have been recorded by guitarist Jean-François Desrosby. In addition, the Oberon Guitar Trio, from Calgary, formed by the guitarists Ralph Maier, Murray Visscher and Brad Mahon have recorded his trio Soupirs d'espaces.
